Hello, my name is Julia. I am a retired family medicine physician with a passion for teaching. I graduated summa cum laude with honors from Centenary College of Louisiana where I majored in biophysics and minored in mathematics. I was a division I college athlete competing in gymnastics all four years of my undergraduate. I attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch graduating with a Master of Public Health and Doctor of Medicine. I subsequently trained as a family medicine physician at Houston Methodist Hospital. I am now a retired physician who spends most my time writing, painting and sharing the love of Christ with others. I enjoy helping others learn, grow and reach their God given goals.

I tutored throughout my four years of undergraduate in multiple science disciplines and math subjects. I am well versed in a variety of Math and Science courses. I specialize in tutoring algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, high-school physics, college physics 1 and 2, high school chemistry, AP chemistry, college general chemistry and human anatomy and physiology. I hope I will be able to serve your needs and help you reach your goals.

Teaching Style

I like to tailor my tutoring style to the needs of each student. My goal is to help students master the current subject but also learn better study habits so that they can be self-sufficient in future studies... Read more

Excellent Teacher
I requested Julia to coach my daughter in AP chemistry. As I am not the student - I can not talk about the subjects. But what I am seeing is my daughter’s grades are improving, she is taking interest and proactively fixing classes. Also whatever I can hear I am convinced she has a very good style. She explains, makes sure the student understands, asks questions to check and solves problems together. She is also very flexible and polite. I only wish I could seek her help before. If you need any details about Julia message me - I will be more than happy to talk to my daughter and get back to you. But if you seek her help, be assured you will not be disappointed.
