Read moreGrowing up, I always wanted to know more about the world, know everything that was going on in my own and other countries around me, know more about other historical and non-historical events that we weren't normally taught in school, and think about the "what-if's" in different scenarios that lead up to these events. With the ability to grow up on two different continents and travel around amazing countries, as well as experiencing different religions and cultures, my passion for teaching social studies, sharing these experiences, and telling the stories that weren't originally taught in a normal class setting only grew stronger.

Read moreIn-person, I love to be as hands-on with teaching as possible. Normally I would've brought in some collectibles that I have gathered throughout my time growing up in Europe. I live in Virginia's historical triangle, so a lot of my time I usually spent in the Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Jamestown areas. In colonial Williamsburg, I have even gotten my own colonial-style dress that I would bring in when we discussed American Colonial history. Virtually, I like to create games that help students learn. I love to also include in both methods of teaching a little bit of the language as well, as far as translations and the pronunciations native speakers use.
Hobbies & Personal Interest
Reading (mostly non-fiction), magic the gathering (card game), designing interiors, painting, listening to classical music, and tea sessions.
